Step-by-step instructions
Step 1: Navigate to transaction fee settings
- Go to Payments > Retail Configurations > Retail Settings.
- Scroll to the Transaction Fee Preferences section.
Step 2: Choose how to handle transaction fees
- Click the Pencil Icon to edit your preference.
- Select one of the following:
- Business absorbs the fees:
- The studio pays all Stripe processing fees.
- Client invoices will show only the product or package amount (e.g. $100).
- Client pays the fees:
- Stripe processing fees are added on top of the purchase.
- Client invoices will show base price + fee (e.g. $100 + $5 = $105).
- Business absorbs the fees:
- Click Save.
Tip: The exact fee displayed depends on your Stripe processing rate and the type of transaction (credit card vs bank transfer).
Expected outcome
Client invoices will reflect either the full transaction total (if fees are passed to the client) or just the product total (if fees are absorbed by your business), based on your selected preference.
