Overview

This article explains how to set up and charge No-Show Fees in CORE. This feature allows you to automatically flag and charge clients who do not attend a class they’re booked into — helping improve attendance and accountability.

Prerequisites

  • Admin access to CORE
  • Classes with attendance tracking enabled
  • Tax settings configured if applicable

Step-by-step instructions


Step 1: Access retail settings

  1. Navigate to Payments > Retail Configurations.
  2. Click Retail Settings in the left-hand menu.
  3. Scroll down to the Schedule Fees section.

 

 

 


Step 2: Set up your no-show fee

  1. Locate Charge No Show Fee.
  2. Click the Pencil Icon to edit.
  3. Enter the Fee Amount (e.g. $10, $15, $20).
  4. Select the relevant Tax Setting.
  5. Click Save.

Tip: You can adjust the fee amount or tax setting at any time.


Step 3: How it works in live classes

  1. Once a class finishes, if a client is not marked as attended, a red dollar sign icon ($) appears next to their name.
  2. Hover over the icon to confirm it's flagged as No Show Fee.
  3. Click the icon to open the checkout screen.
  4. Proceed to charge the client by clicking Pay Securely.

Tip: This must be manually triggered by staff — the system flags it but does not charge automatically.

 

 


Expected outcome

Clients who miss classes without being marked as attended will be clearly flagged, and staff will have the ability to charge the no-show fee directly via the checkout screen.


FAQs

Q: Can the no-show fee be charged automatically?

A: No — staff must manually process the payment after it's flagged.

Q: Can I change the fee amount later?

A: Yes — just return to Retail Settings > Schedule Fees and edit it anytime.

Q: What if the client was actually present?

A: You can simply mark them as attended to remove the fee icon.
