Overview
Clients can now store up to five payment methods in their account and choose separate methods for Pay Today and Recurring payments. This gives businesses and members more control and flexibility, especially in mixed-payment situations.
Prerequisites
- Your business must use Stripe or Ezypay for payment processing.
- The multi-payment method setting must be enabled at the core level.
- Feature cannot be turned off once enabled.
Enable Multiple Payment Methods at Core Level
- Go to Payments tab and select Retail Configurations from drop down
- Select Retail Settings on left hand side
- Scroll to Payment Method Settings > Select Edit icon
- Ensure ‘Allow Multiple Payment Methods’ is set to On and Save
How Clients Manage Payment Methods in the Mobile App
1. Access the Billing Information section
- Open the Mobile App.
- Click three-dots More
- Navigate to the Billing Information section.
Tip: If no payment methods are added yet, you’ll see a prompt to add your first method.
2. Add payment methods
- Tap the Add Payment Method button.
- Enter your card or bank details and tap Save.
3. Manage existing payment methods
- Tap the three dots next to any saved method.
- Choose one of the following:
- Set as default
- Delete payment method
Tip: You can delete a method even if it’s the only one on file, as long as it’s not tied to a membership or failed transaction.
Select Payment Method During Checkout
1. Start checkout
- Go to the Checkout screen.
- Select the service or membership.
2. Enable separate payment methods for Pay Today & Recurring
- If available, toggle on Use a different payment method for Recurring & Pay Today.
- Choose the payment method for Pay Today.
- Select a different method for Recurring Payments.
Tip: This toggle is visible only when your membership configuration allows separate methods, as defined at the core level.
3. Confirm and complete payment
- Review the selected methods.
- Tap Checkout
Handle Failed Payments
- On the Home screen, clients will see a Failed Payment alert if applicable.
- Tap through the alert to retry the payment.
- Select Change to pick a different stored method.
Expected Outcome
Clients can manage up to five payment methods, set defaults, and choose different options for initial and recurring payments. Payment issues can be resolved more easily through flexible retry options.
