Overview
This article walks you through how to manage and customize which profile fields are required during client sign up—whether in Business Mode or Client Mode. This is important for ensuring you collect only the necessary information from new members or staff.
Prerequisites
- Admin access to Hapana Core
- URL: https://core.hapana.com/login
Step 1: Log into your Hapana Core Account
- Navigate to https://core.hapana.com/login and log in using your admin credentials.
Step 2: Open Your Account Settings
- Click on your Business Name in the top-right corner of the screen.
- Select Account Settings from the dropdown menu.
Step 3: Go to the Configuration Tab
- Click on the Configuration tab located between Preferences and Notifications.
Step 4: Access Client Sign-Up Fields
- Scroll down the page and locate the Client Sign Up Field section.
- Click the Pencil Icon next to either:
- Client Sign Up Field (Client Mode), or
- Client Sign Up Field (Business Mode)
Tip: These modes let you customize what’s shown and required based on who’s doing the sign up—your team or the client directly.
Step 5: Toggle Fields On or Off
- You’ll see a list of Primary Profile Information fields like First Name, Email, Phone, etc. Use the toggles to enable or disable each one.
- You can also use the Required checkboxes to mark which fields must be completed before submitting the form.
Step 6: Save Your Changes
- Once you're satisfied with the setup, click Save at the bottom of the page.
Step 7: Confirmation

A green success message will appear at the top of the screen:
"Your settings have been updated successfully."
Expected Outcome
Your signup forms (both client-facing and internal) will now display only the fields you want, and enforce completion for only the ones you've marked as required.
FAQs
Q: Can I require different fields for business vs. client sign-up?
A: Yes! You can configure them separately by clicking the respective pencil icon.
Q: Will clients see the "Business Mode" settings?
A: No, these are visible only during sign-up managed by your staff.
Q: Can I edit this again later?
A: Absolutely, return to the Configuration tab anytime to make changes.
