Integrate Facebook SDK to the Branded App

Overview

Want to track and analyze your app’s performance with Facebook tools like Ads Manager or Analytics? If you're on the Enterprise plan, you can request to integrate the Facebook SDK into your branded app. This helps you connect your app to Facebook’s powerful marketing tools.

Once your request is submitted, the Hapana team will include it in our semi-annual branded app updates. If you need it sooner, off-cycle updates are available (fees apply).

This guide walks you through the steps to set up the Facebook side of the integration so our team can proceed.


Prerequisites

  • You must be on the Enterprise plan
  • You need access to a Facebook Developer account
  • You must have your brand’s Facebook Business Manager (optional but recommended)

Step 1: Go to Facebook for Developers

  1. Head to https://developers.facebook.com/

Tip: You’ll need to be logged into your Facebook account.


Step 2: Create a New App

  1. Click My Apps > Create App
  2. Select Business as the app type
  3. Fill in the details:
    • App name: Enter your brand’s name
    • App contact email: Use your direct work email
    • Business account: Connect your brand’s business account (optional)
  4. Click Create App

Tip: This app connects your branded app to Facebook Ads and tracking tools.


Step 3: Add Hapana as an App Administrator

  1. In the left-hand menu, go to App Roles > Roles
  2. Under Administrators, click Add Administrator
  3. Enter the username: ajarron
  4. Click Confirm

Tip: This allows the Hapana team to manage the SDK configuration within your app.


Step 4: Notify the Hapana Support Team

  1. Email support@hapana.com
  2. Let them know you've completed the Facebook setup

Tip: Include your app name and contact email in the message.


What Happens Next?

Once we’ve confirmed the admin access, we’ll queue your SDK integration for the next scheduled branded app release. Need it sooner? Ask our team about off-cycle updates (additional fees apply).


FAQs

Q: How long does the integration take?

A: Once your Facebook setup is done, we’ll schedule it for the next semi-annual release. You can request an off-cycle update if needed.

Q: Can I use my personal Facebook account?

A: Yes, but using your business account is preferred for tracking and management.

Q: What happens if I skip the admin step?

A: We won’t be able to complete the SDK setup without admin access to your Facebook app.
